West Lodge Starts on Site
This month construction has started on the restoration and refurbishment of the Grade II* listed West Lodge.
The project is due for completion in Spring 2012.

Nursery Building Opens
The new Nursery Education and Training Centre in Bute Park has now opened.
The centre forms part of the Bute Park restoration project and provides new training facilities for apprentices working in the park. In addition to this new public amenities including toilets and cafe have also been provided.

St. Woolos Cathedral Roof
Tree ring dating of ancient timbers is proving extremely valuable in our conservation work, providing very detailed and accurate information that we often cannot obtain from documentary evidence alone.
This highlights the significance of this building, which already displays some very fine architectural features from the Norman period. Its another piece in the jigsaw, that helps us understand the many layers of history at the cathedral.

Oystermouth Castle Visitor Centre
Construction of the new visitor centre at Oystermouth Centre has taken a leap forward this month with the installation of the new glass bridge.
Phase 1 of the project is due for completion in July 2011.

St. Woolos Restoration Commences
Work has now commenced on repairs to the listed Newport Cathedral. The Royal Commission have visited site to investigate the original roof timbers, their findings can be found on the Heritage Wales website.
