Volunteering with SPAB

Clara, one of our talented technicians, joined the 2019 SPAB Working Party at Boxley Abbey, a former monastic site near Maidstone in Kent and got involved with the repair and consolidation of the masonry garden walls. Clara and the

other (around 70) volunteers burnt lime, limewashed, repointed, repaired, camped, cooked and went on a bat walk - all in four days! They also carried out some archaeology at St Andrews teaching them more about the building. Congratulations all!
